Friends of the Joshua Tree Branch Library

The Joshua Tree Branch Library is located in scenic downtown Joshua Tree. They offers books, Summer Reading Programs and internet access to the the community.

The Friends of the Joshua Tree Branch Library is a non-profit organization to help bridge the gap when Tax dollars do not meet library's annual expenses. We are local residents and members of the community who value public library service and believe that their library is one of the key elements that make their community a great place to live. Members volunteer time and talent to support the library and its services and programs! for the entire community.

How Do The Friends Serve?

Foster awareness of the library in the community

Raise funds to enhance library services and programs for the entire community

Support the Summer Reading Program

Support new book and DVD purchases

Volunteer fo help with sorting and sales in the Friends" Bookstore

Assist library staff in hosting special library programs

Receive and encourage donations

Serve on the Friends Board of Directors

Show commitment to literacy by obtaining and using a library card

How Can I Join and Get Involved?

Those that wish to help can volunteer their time to help with book sales, Join us as a member, donate used books in good condition or a generous financial donation. To become a memeber complete the membership application and mail or drop it by the library. You can also join at our monthly meetings! The Friends usually meet monthly at the Joshua Tree Branch Library. Members and vistors are welcome to attend. Your commitment makes a difference in our library and our community. All membership dollars and funds raised support library programs and materials.
